According to Judge Charles Thompson, a senior district court judge for Clark County, Nevada, MSNBC must include Dennis Kucinich in the Tuesday presidential debate. The judge is correct.
Why not? In fact, why is anyone ever stopped from participating in presidential debates?
As we grow older and learn that our nation is a twisted republic - do you become cynical because the politicians are busy trying to keep their jobs rather than do their jobs? Or do you become cynical because you quickly learn the process for becoming a representative of the US citizens is tainted with gamesmanship and skulduggery?
In a true republic, every citizen should have the right to learn about all the politicians - no secrets - no tricks. I should be able to ask any candidate his or her positions on any of the vital topics. Yet, the media thinks stopping candidates who will not win from being in the debates is good business. The opposite is true.
